Dr. Ali will be joining our team of eye doctors at Eye Associates to help us continue to bring world class eyecare services to our south New Jersey patient community. Dr. Ali is an Ophthalmologist, Cataract & LASIK Surgeon who has been working as a Wills Eye Hospital Academic Global Ophthalmology Fellow to help create an academic approach to addressing the gaps in medical and surgical eye care around the world. In his clinical and surgical assignments in counties including Rwanda and Guatemala, Dr. Ali has had the opportunity to deliver and elevate the level of eye surgery and patient care, but also to teach ophthalmologists in these developing countries and implement innovative Wills Eye programs aimed at the prevention of blindness.
At Eye Associates, Dr. Ali will be available to see patients for regular eye health and vision needs and will be specializing in routine and complex cataract surgery including Dropless IV Free Custom Cataract Surgery with advanced intraocular lens implants (IOL), such as toric lens implants to correct astigmatism and multifocal lenses, to help cataract surgery patients obtain a comfortable range of natural vision without the need for eyeglasses, bifocals or reading glasses As a LASIK surgeon, Dr. Ali provides all types of corneal laser eye surgery for vision correction, such as Bladeless Custom LASIK, to help patients who are nearsighted, farsighted or who have astigmatism see clearly at distance, free of the hassle of eyeglasses or contacts lenses.
About Omair Ali, M.D.
Dr. Ali earned his undergraduate degree at Indiana University and medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Ali then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the Louisiana State University and a fellowship in Academic Global Ophthalmology.
